"Robin Marcotte's choreography...is electrifying and harrowing."

The Pleasure Men
Inspired by comedian, actress, singer, writer and sex symbol Mae West's play, The Pleasure Men utilizes music, cross dressing and sexuality to investigate what helps us get through the night. When the original production was produced in 1928, the theater was raided and closed down for indecency. PSU director Robin Marcotte and cast have taken The Pleasure Man, deconstructed it and created a new play that incorporates Mae West as a character and connects the play in relevant and revealing ways to contemporary life. Aerial work, jazz music, double entendres, high drag and drama will make the evening one to remember. Mature content and situations. Not recommended for those who blush easily.
